ALTUZURRA

Joseph Altuzurra said that for Spring he was looking at Rosemary's Baby and Barry Lyndon but whether unwittingly or not a third film was at play here. The gingham that opened the show was unmistakeably Dorothy-esque, a pair of metallic silver trousers were the Tin Man, and leather-caged skirts were Scarecrow all over. Whatever film you saw it as one thing was undeniable; this was one of Altuzurra's strongest outings so far.

His main strength as a designer is that he has a capability of creating clothes which show women off well and ooze sexiness; a low cut cardigan, an exposed bra, a dangerously high split on an otherwise ladylike skirt-suit. Also the most feminine and my favourite look so far this week; an understated waistcoat and trouser combination. Dangerously attractive. Joseph Altuzurra has it all sewn up.
