INSPIRATION: MESH & SHEER

Mesh and sheer details are two things that we saw on lots of on the runways back at the Spring Summer 13 shows and subsequently they’re all over editorials and street style at the moment. I wasn’t all too keen at first – some of it looked a little too fishnetty (alias cheap) for my liking. 
 But then when I was looking back over the shows it started to grow on me. Alexander Wang’s collection played around with the idea of mesh inserts and produced some pretty cool pieces which I hope get copied down by the high street. Yesterday I saw a post by Geneva of a pair & a spare in which she made a DIY mesh overlay skirt which I loved. As I always do, I’ve now made a mesh moodboard and I’m thinking maybe I should invest in this trend before it passes me by.
