Remember how exciting Topshop Unique's Fall 2012 show was back on a dull Sunday in February?
Remember how the Topshop Showspace was crammed with editors, photographers, bloggers, celebrities and more?
Remember how everyone on Twitter was enthusing about the shoes, the jumpers, the dresses, the baseball caps, and more importantly the bags.
I remember. It was simply the best Topshop Unique shoe to date; maybe something to do with the new creative force of Kate Phelan in its wings.

Anyway, Topshop had their press launch yesterday, and these pictures went up on their blog. Not going to lie, I can't wait for this to hit flagship just so I can see it in the flesh. Already coveting those orange tango shoes (ugly as hell, right?) and that Jason Wu-esque white dress. Plus that jumper/hotpant/clutch/baseball cap combo we all remember. All I really want is the baseball cap. Completely unwearable but totally fun, and that's all we care about.

Finally Topshop Unique has reached the level it always had the potential to be at; Kate Phelan has transformed this into an actual fashion label with concrete designs. The collection presented today was given to us with a warning 'expect the unexpected'. Here there were Alexander Wangesque sportswear inspired pieces, there were military boots. There was architectural draping, layering, leather trims, hand held bags, leather, jacquard, and velvet. One look, velvet dungarees over a white shirt reminded me of Chloé's Fall 2009 collection where there was a similar look. Maybe this will be a show to stick in the memory as well.
